My Background
I obtained my Master's of Science in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. I became board certified and licensed to prescribe medication. Prior to this, I received a Bachelor of science degree from SUNY Binghamton in Psychobiology and in Nursing and worked as an RN on a psychiatric inpatient unit with children and adults.
Since becoming a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I have worked as a Psychiatric Nurse practitioner in the outpatient setting, providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management for several years. I have provided care at many settings including mental health clinics, private psychiatric offices, and as a consultant at a primacy care office, both in Manhattan and in Westchester. I have worked with diverse populations including those on the autism spectrum, different socioeconomic backgrounds, children with special needs, and adults with demanding careers.
For fun, I enjoy learning photography, painting, and scrapbooking. You can see some my photos on this site!
